Morning circles in the woods…
10am - 12pm
A chance to simply gather in the woods, whatever the weather, smell the earth, touch the trees, feel the rain on your skin, the ground underfoot. For a couple of hours, step back from the weekly rush, and give yourself the gift of slowing down, of reconnecting with what matters, of being in nature. These gentle circles will offer space to meditate, to walk amongst the trees, share stories around the fire, drink hot tea in the quietness together, journal, and to bring ritual, reflection and connection to your week….
Upcoming Dates:
Circles will be held in a beautiful space at Hailey Woods, near Sapperton, about five minutes from Circencester. It’s easy to find, and there is parking, shelter and a compost loo. It is a five minute walk from the parking area in to the woods, down a well-established (if sometimes muddy!) track. We will gather in the roundhouse, sitting on logs around the fire; or in the summer months, we might find a clearing amongst the trees. Hailey Woods is such a special place to be. It is an ancient and very beautiful woodland, filled with both beech trees and evergreen firs, populated by wildlife, including deer. Stepping off the track and walking into the space is always magical, you can feel the wisdom of the trees as you arrive, a sense of being held by their height and grace. It will be so special to be return to the woods each month, as we mark the changing seasons of the circling year. My hope, with this work, in part, is that the woods become familiar, a return to something wild and authentic, that deepens with each circle.
